Candidate must have been born between 02 July 1985 and 01 July 2004.

Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen) as per government norms.

The UPPSC APO selection will be conducted in four stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

2. Main Examination (Descriptive Type)

3. Interview / Personality Test

4. Document Verification

The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Mains Exam and Interview. Candidates must qualify at each stage to move forward in the process.

UPPSC APO Salary 2025

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary under Pay Level-8 (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100) with a Grade Pay of ₹4,800. In addition, they will get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

1. Preliminary Exam (Screening Test – Objective Type)

Paper: 1

Subjects: General Studies / General Knowledge / Current Affairs

Marks: Usually 150 marks (confirm from official notification)

Duration: 2 hours

Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Purpose: Qualifying for Mains

2. Mains Exam (Written – Descriptive Type)

Paper 1: General Hindi / Language Ability

Marks: 100

Duration: 2 hours

Paper 2: Law / Legal Knowledge / Relevant Subject

Marks: 300

Duration: 3 hours

Total Marks: 400

3. Interview / Personality Test

Marks: 50

Purpose: Assess personality, communication skills, suitability

Total Marks for Selection: 450 (Mains + Interview)
