Visit the official website at https://csirnet.nta.ac.in. Click on the “CSIR UGC NET December 2025 Apply Online” link. Register by providing your details to create a login ID. Fill out the application form with your personal, educational, and professional details. Pay the application fee (Rs. 1150 for General/EWS, Rs. 600 for OBC-NCL, Rs. 325 for SC/ST/PwD) through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking by October 25, 2025, 11:50 PM. Submit the form by October 24, 2025, 11:50 PM, and save the confirmation for future reference. Note: The correction window is open from October 27-29, 2025, until 11:50 PM. Pay Scale:
JRF: ₹37,000/month for the first 2 years + ₹20,000 annual contingency grant.
Upgrade to SRF: After 2 years, if registered for Ph.D. and recommended by an Expert Committee, stipend increases to ₹42,000/month from 3rd year onwards.
If not upgraded/Ph.D. not registered: JRF continues at ₹37,000/month for 3rd year or may be terminated, based on Committee recommendation.
Fellowship count: Limited, varies by subject and exam cycle.
